I stayed at Residence Barberini once with a couple of friends. Not really cheap for what you get, but I love the minimalist approach and modern interior.

Oh my, I should have read this before I booked my hotel for 5 persons in Rome for this coming May! They are all rightly priced and in strategic historic center of Rome! The environment are also fantastic if compared to what I’ve booked recently! How I wish I could drop my booking and go for these….

Finding a good family-friendly hotel that too at cheap rates is a bit difficult while in Rome. However, there are a few good accommodation options that one may choose for stay while in this beautiful city.

Thanks for the post. I’ve visited Rome in the past. It stands out in my mind as full of slightly crooked people (everyone from the taxi drivers to the waiters in the restaurants seemed to invent all kinds of previously unmentioned fees and surcharges for our benefit). But it is also full of beautiful architecture, historical and cultural treasures, as well as great food and more. I’d like to take my children to Rome one day so I’ll definitely keep your recommendation in mind.
