I came across your blog when looking for a recipe for greek-style stuffed aubergine (which I ate virtually every day on my week in Thassos). Thank you for the recipe. I have signed up to hear what you are getting up to, and will read the rest of your blog later. Am hugely envious of you - for knowing what you want to do, for going to all these places and for the fun of learning how things work and how to get what you want out of them. Enjoy xxx

@ Yangos
I also found Timotheos and Christina dedicated to making some great wines on Zakynthos and looking forward to going back next year to discover how this year's vintage has turned out.

@ Des
Thanks so much for your compliments, it's comments that keep me posting about my travels, even though I work full time & have 3 children - sometimes there aren't enough hours in the day! If you enjoy the blog, please be sure to subscribe, so you get all my new posts.

I was surprised myself to find a winery on Santorini. I thought the Greeks were all about olive oil! This was a fun post with great photos, Heather!

Hi Heather,

It's not the first time you openly express your sympathy about Greek wines. It is high time that visitors to Greece and specially to the islands, discover that Greek wine is not just carafe or house wine.

Timotheos and Maria are very good friends of ours and they really love what they are doing. Greek wines are not really discovered yet...there is a lot of individuality in this country waiting to impress any wine lover!

Oinolpi's wines are a very good example of the above statement...

Try to include Kefalonia in one of your next trips, you'll discover more...
