Everyday lovely – Flowers in the traffic in Bristol
June 2, 2009 by HeatherCowper
I know, I know, I have a weakness for flowers, and at this time of year they’re blooming everywhere in Bristol. And this herbaceous border wouldn’t look out of place in a National Trust garden backed by a mellow stone stately home.
But wait, this floral display’s a stone’s throw from from my home and you could wizz past it by car or bus without giving it a second glance. This border’s the work of Bristol city council parks department and it’s on the traffic roundabout. All through the year, they put on a fantastic bedding display with bulbs in the spring and flowers in the summer. Thanks for making the drive to work a little bit more flowery.
Everyday Lovely is about the things that you see in your daily life that make you smile and glad to be in Bristol when the sun’s shining. It’s hosted over at Teacher meets world where you can see some more Everyday Lovelies.
What do you see on your drive to work that makes you smile?

Hi Heather!
I love that both of us posted photos of flowers today. I felt as though I could smell these purple Bristol beauties.
Unlike you, I don’t think of myself as a big flower person so today’s photo experiment with aperture was a real event! Thanks for joining me for Everyday Lovely!
