@ Travellyn Yes I enjoyed some of the lighter Bavarian food although the dumplings did start to weigh me down after a while.

Mouthwatering photos of delicious food. I visited Oberammergau in 2009 and was very taken with the painted houses and woodcarvings. Unfortunately not the right time for The Passion Play. Nor did I see such delicious looking cherries. However I did enjoy some of the dishes your photographed on our travels through Bavaria. Interesting blog and great photos.

I do love a good shnitzel, however I don’t think I could have it more than one night in a row. The cherries looked amazing though!
