If I travel to more remote destinations, I always take a selection of family photos – I’ve found it’s a great ice breaker when you meet people, especially if you can’t speak their language.

i will always take a little bit of food if your in apartments because you have a kitchen. i will take lots of outfits and shoes and makeup and jewlry.
also i would take things that are special to me.like a photo of the family.

I never have even thought of bringing food from home. I do try and bring spices back with me depending on where I travel.

I do like to bring tea bags with me. It saves from the expensive markup at many airports when hot water is usually free. I drink a lot of tea during the day so it helps tide me over until I get to my destination.

I absolutely do not bring food from home! Usually its the other way around – i travel out with a half-full suitcase and come back with purchases aplenty, much of it food…oh, and i always bring my trusty cork screw. always comes in handy.
