I’ll break off my Valencia blogging for a moment to say Muchas Gracias for a couple of mentions I got in the last week from fellow bloggers.
Olivia from High Culture on a Low Budget has started doing an Ask the Local slot featuring recommendations from creative types on low budget things to enjoy on their home patch. I was honoured to be Olivia’s first guest and give you a few recommendations from Bristol. You can read all my tips here.
I was also thrilled that my Sounds of the City – podcasts post was included in the Carnival of Europe from Europe a la Carte among plenty of other interesting blog posts on things to see and do in European destinations. You’re so lucky, Karen, to have that view from your window of the old stone bridge over the River Tweed, which was featured on the What I see out of my window blog – I like the idea of bringing the world together one window at a time. I must remember to take more pictures from my window when I’m travelling – I fear the view of a building site from my Bristol office block might not make it through the selection! Here’s the view from the Home Backpacker’s hostel in Valencia where we stayed last night.
