Especially liked the location, very convenient for walking into town. Good parking opposite, maybe temporary but very useful. Recycling arrangements best I've seen. Well appointed and good use of space for the size of the terraced property. Great proximity to beautifully kept public gardens and access to river Usk.

This is a really nice cottage. The decor is to a really high standard and is very clean. The kitchen has everything you need. It all looks brand spanking new. It is very comfortable and very quiet. It is only a 12 minute walk into Abergavenny town centre. The information in the pack is very detailed and the host is exceedingly good at communication and very helpful. We stay in a lot of places and this was a real pleasure from start to finish.

Abergavenny is a pleasant market town with plenty of carparks and a good selection of shops. There is a large Morrisons in the centre of town. I hiked to sugar loaf mountain from the town with my 14 year old which was 2+hrs walking uphill so quite tiring. Maybe thats why we didn't come across other walkers until much nearer the mountain. My teen enjoyed the walk once we were further up, helped by the amazing weather, and the fact he was able to get some lovely aerial shots on his drone. Great views from the top of sugar loaf, but also nice views during the hike once you get above the town.

Ffion went out of her way to make our stay at The Abergavenny Hotel as comfortable and easy going as possible. We appreciated all the information we were given both in the folder in the room and verbally, to enable us to enjoy our first visit to the town. The Continental breakfast buffet was exceptional both in quality of food and drinks and the way it was thoughtfully displayed to give easy access for each item.

I loved the vibe in this hotel. Very characteristic but also modern comforts. Lots of activity in the bars and restaurants. Very lively. Beautiful spacious room. Friendly people. I loved the restaurant. We had the best meal of our trip to Wales here. Breakfast was outstanding. Great table service, drink top ups. Loved the hospitality. The town is lovely as well. Parking lot behind the hotel.

Beautifully decorated and furnished house, lovely and clean and perfect for a family of four. Instructions for check in and out were very clear. Hosts were very kind and left snacks for us - the Welsh cakes were great! Parking was very simple of the driveway at the front of the house. And as a bonus the views of the area surrounding Abergavenny were stunning. An amazing place all round!

We were given the hotel's best room with a lovely 4-poster bed. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The entry to the hotel is through a traditional and clearly popular public bar. The best surprise was the attached top quality Indian restaurant Overall, this was a lovely combination of a traditional pub with a good value, friendly restaurant serving excellent food. A lucky find.
